What the board keeps
The Planet Mk.2 feedback board keeps what it needs to show your posts and to reproduce the bugs you report — and nothing that says who you are outside it.
Collected
- A one-way code for who you are
- An HMAC-SHA256 of your Steam account or your install ID. It links your posts to you; it cannot be turned back into a Steam ID or an install ID.
- The display name you choose
- Shown next to everything you write.
- What you write
- Posts, comments, votes and reports, with the time you made them.
- The build each post came from
- Version, build number, commit, build date, channel and label.
- The system each post came from
- Operating system and version, CPU architecture and model, core count, RAM rounded to whole GB, GPU and GPU vendor, graphics API, renderer, window size and engine version.
- The game context, when you post from the pause menu
- Which menu you opened the board from, the world’s tier, hours played, world size and world code. When you share statistics or recordings, the session code, session game seconds and session player seconds link the report to the private analyzer.
- Your sign-in sessions
- When each started and ends, whether it opened inside the game, and the build and system details above. Sessions end after 30 days.
The build line on a post (build, OS, GPU, graphics API) is public. The full system details are shown only to you and the team.
Not collected
- IP addresses — not logged, not stored
- Your raw Steam ID or install ID
- E-mail addresses or real names
- Hardware serial numbers, user names or machine names
- A Steam name you did not confirm as your display name
Your network address is used, in memory only and for a few minutes, to slow down repeated sign-in attempts. It is never written down.
How long
Everything is kept until you delete it or the team removes it. Sign-in links expire after two minutes and sessions after 30 days.
Seeing and deleting it
Your page shows everything held about you. From there you can download it as a file and delete it: your account, posts (with their comments and votes), comments, votes, reports and sessions are removed at once, and the board forgets your install. If the team has banned your account, a record of the ban (the one-way code and the reason, nothing else) is kept so that deleting does not undo it.
Board deletion removes board data. Settings → Privacy → Delete my data in the game requests deletion of both gameplay data and the linked board account. See the playtest collection policy for the separate opt-ins and gameplay retention.
The team
Planet Mk.2 is made by a solo developer. Team members can see the full system details of posts and reports; every moderation action they take is logged.
